One of my best friends is just now watching (read: bingeing) Game of Thrones, and she’s expressed how the Mother of Dragons is her favorite character. My husband and I are also big fans of the show, and both our kids love dragons, so me owning these dragon stamps was bound to happen. I literally had an alarm set on my phone and placed my order within 10 minutes of Mama Elephant’s release going live.
Birthday Invitations using the Candy Land Kit from Queen & Co
Our daughter – my sweet rainbow baby – just turned SIX, and this year she requested a candy theme for her birthday. I had recently purchased the Candy Land Kit from Queen & Co., so it took center stage in creating the invitations.
Tea Pot Shaker Card using the Mama Elephant Tea Time Dies
Our daughter was invited to a birthday tea party for one of her classmates, so we thought she’d like to receive a teapot shaker card. This Tea Time die set from Mama Elephant came out in their February 2018 release, and I just had to get it!
Birthday Shaker Card
I made this card for one of my closest friends who is celebrating her birthday today. Happy birthday, Kristen!! I’ve seen videos where Nichol Spohr makes shakers and uses the same panel as both the shaker border and the background, so I decided to give it a try with this one.
Mermaid Party Favors
These favor boxes are for my daughter’s preschool classmates, who will be celebrating her 5th birthday in class tomorrow with some yummy donuts! Each box is filled with two tropical fish sticker sheets, three fish erasers, a mini pencil, and some Sixlets candies.
I used the Lawn Fawn Fancy Box die and some 5.5″ x 7.5″ watercolor paper pads that I found at my local Jo-Ann’s. I believe this product line is relatively new – at least to my local store. The pad has 24 sheets in 8 different colors, so three sheets of each color. I chose the turquoise and blue colors because they looked the most like the colors of ocean water. These pads are priced very reasonably, so I was comfortable buying three pads in order to get the 16 boxes in those two colors.
Mermaid Pop-Up Box Birthday Invitation
Our daughter is turning 5 this year! FIVE whole years!! I can hardly believe it. She is our little preemie, arriving 8 weeks early and weighing only 3 lbs 6 oz. After a month in the NICU, we were finally able to bring her home – well, to a hotel we were living in since our house sold during my 12-day hospital stay before she was born. (Yeah…that’s a whole other post on it’s own.) Anyway, she is healthy, happy, sweet, full of energy, and such a wonderfully kind little person!
When I saw this Scallop Box Card Pop-up die from Lawn Fawn’s recent release, I knew I had to make her invitations with it! Kelly Marie from Lawn Fawn posted a great video on how to assemble the box card, as well as a couple of examples including one with mermaids. Our daughter had requested a mermaid theme for her party this year, so it was meant to be!
Ninja Birthday Cards
My son was invited to a joint birthday party for two boys (turning 4 and 5) in his preschool class. Both of their moms mentioned that they each loved ninjas, so I knew I had to pull out the Tiny Ninjas stamp set from Mama Elephant!
